I didn't get this muddy when I fell into the creek, but I sure felt like it. I did land on rocks though on my right side. Oh yeah, there is a creek by our house and Chloe (who is 6) and Lana (a girl we met who lives in our neighborhood) decided to show me. It is not a big creek at all but there is some rocks where you can cross it, and of course I missed one and boom there I was in the creek. both girls made it across of course. Needless to say I ended up going home and changing clothes. Chloe says to me"that was hilarious!" Yeah to her maybe but not to me. I am very sore and I am sure it will hurt tomorrow even more. Then she tells me after I said I am in so much pain, "No wonder, you landed on a bunch of rocks". I had to laugh, it was funny in a sick way.
I didn't cry. I did laugh all the way to the house.
So did they.So now that I got cleaned up I am almost ready to go to Marcux birthday, I think he is 6 today - or 5. Hopefully I won't fall down again playing with a bunch of kids. I love being with kids, they make me feel young until I fall that is.

Always remember to laugh hard
and be sure you pay attention when you cross a creek.
After a long week of work - I thought I would post some of my serenity pictures that I found on pinterest. This week I have been using the "skills" that I was trained on for 3 weeks at work. Let me tell you, a lot of stress went with this week. SO much to remember. Everyone I have talked to there has agreed it is "scary" at first, but with time it will be a lot easier. I have to admit some of the training I have I can do now with ease - but this - oh my! Time will tell.
Still waiting for Spring. How I long to go outside and relax in the sun. Of course I truly want to get back to my exercise routine for outside.
Oh yeah, to be out on the water even, reading a book. I am hoping that Jerry can go fishing this year and I can go out and ride in the boat and read. I don't think I want to fish, maybe. The time and the weather hasn't been right for us to go fishing in so long. I think Jerry went fishing 3 years ago maybe....
I think it would be so relaxing to rent a cabin somewhere, I have always wanted to do that. They say they have some nice ones here in Iowa. Now that I am working full time I am eligible for vacation - so I am hoping.
Just taking a drive somewhere will be nice when it gets warmer. Not planning where to go, just get in the car and go. Oh yeah!
To think about "hiking" on trails. Jerry and I used to do that so much. How I miss that. He may not be able to join me on my walks as he is working almost every Sat. at his Mother's farm to help her out, but I am hoping to "hook up with a friend" and go - or just head out by myself. Or both.
After walking sit by the water someplace like that - oh yeah!!!!
Someday I do so want to go back to see the West Coast (CA) and visit the ocean. I really miss that. That might be awhile since it does cost so much to fly and would take a long vacation. But someday!
Well, time to go to bed, tomorrow is a new day - where will God direct me?
Wanting to "escape" lately, just go somewhere different. But with working and the cold weather, haven't been able to do that.
Next best thing is to look at Pinterest and post pictures like these and "pretend to go on vacation". I know it is "stretching it" but hey it works for me, at least for a couple of minutes.
I can't even remember when I saw the ocean last. Being in Iowa does have its down falls. BUT when I see pictures like this:
I am reminded that Iowa has its beauty too!
I have been to Italy and saw places like this. I have traveled quite a bit in my "military days" of course AND I am so glad I did. Now at my age, it is not such a big deal to travel, but I do have a few more places that I would like to see right here in America!
Just a quiet place, a warm quiet place to read. It has been so long since I have done that. Soon it will be warm here in Iowa, I just know it. I was blessed these past 2 days to go for walks outside at work (even though it was a bit chilly and windy - thank the Good LORD for coats).
By the way, the Geese are really mean this time of year. A couple have chased me - they say it is because they are "nesting". Whatever, I just know they are mean now. I will be looking forward to seeing their babies if they do have them around at work. I think I saw some last year.
Soon we will be picking flowers - won't that be great. I just love the thought of the trees blooming and flowers!
Then I can wear them in my hair.
