Good Morning fellow bloggers - I wanted to share with you that I came across
ChristianFitnessTV on CBN at 6:00 a.m.! It is great! I have been doing the exercises now for 4 days - and trust me I feel it! They are not hard - because they have a beginners one you can follow (I do that)! They work you for 2 minutes, take 1 minute breather (giving the WORD, sharing tips). Then they work you another 2 minutes, take a minute, etc. I am telling you it is
an exercise program straight from God's heart! He wants us to take care of our "bodies" - HIS temples!!! Some of you know me - I like that sort of stuff. I know some of you don't but when I get excited about something I have to share. I
am still "walking the halls" at work on my lunch break and "hooking up" with Jeanne and Janet when we can to "walk the mall". Julie W. has decided she wants to walk with us - so today, at 4:30 p.m. we will be at
Westdale "walking the Mall". We meet across from Bishops upstairs (which is closed now by the way - so sad). Anyway "TIME TO GET PHYSICAL" of course SPIRITUAL FIRST! But it all ties in - because it is hard at times to be Spiritual when your "body is sick" - would you agree?
Also I wanted to share this an article from Proverbs 31 today - I just highlighted what I needed to read:
"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)
Dear Lord, remind me to pause before I react. Sometimes the stresses of life pull at my emotions, which cause me to have reactions that tear at my relationships. Please forgive me for poor reactions in my past. Thank You for second chances. Thank You for the way You prepare my heart for everything You see that I'll be facing today, tomorrow and in all my tomorrows to come. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Application Steps:
Part of embracing His preparations are to pray prayers that make God my focus rather than my circumstances--- Here are a few I've been inspired to pray: God, despite my circumstances, I will find reasons to praise You. God, even when I feel disappointed by what life brings, I will trust You to bring good out of bad. God, no matter what, I will hold on to You and Your truths. God, my deepest desire is for more of You in me. And if that is the desire of my heart, I will never be disillusioned.
Reflections: When hard situations arise, do I tend to react out of my emotions or out of a well-prepared heart of love? How might pausing help me to react better?
Power Verses:
Proverbs 15:4, "The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit." (
NIV)
John 15:4, "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." (
NIV)
In "times like these" - you know all the "doom stuff" going around - we really do need to PRAY to pause to react to everything! -- Love you all Anita
