Cedar Valley Nature Trail - A good day with one of MY BEST FRIENDS - JILL

Here is our starting point as you can see I am pointing

I thought this was so pretty - Iowa has so many different fields

I had fun taking these pictures. With my camera I aim and shoot, I can't really see the picture on the camera - that is the only think I don't like about the digital. I sure like to delete the ones that don't turn out - remember the "film days".  

Before we went on the trail we stopped at "Tootsies" in Centerpointe - it is an ice cream shop with other foods. DELICIOUS!!! I had one scoop of pumpkin with Snickers Swirl scoop on top! Jill just had one scoop of the Snickers Swirl. So we all know now why we JUST HAD TO WALK!!!

Our new couch....Glad we go

I am glad we got it, yet I have to admit it is not as comfortable as our "old one" - but the old one "died".

Now that we have a new couch, our carpet really shows up how we need to get it cleaned! Since this couch is smaller you can see where the covered part of the carpet was and not the covered - not pretty. Jerry is hoping to get it cleaned - I am thinking seriously to hire someone to do it!

Eyes are heavy.....

I like this - it reminds me to keep looking up and never take my eyes off of God!

Jerry has been at the farm again this week. Our home phone is out, Mediacom is suppose to come Saturday and fix it. You know, I never wanted to make so many phone calls now that I don't have a phone - silly huh. I do feel "left out" - I have my cell phone but don't like to use it because have to buy the minutes, not to mention our phone at home is already paid for and I can make any long distance calls. I am really not "left out" either, I have my computer and I am very thankful for that. 

I just got caught up on reading others blogs - haven't done that for awhile. I enjoy reading them and looking at the pictures that are posted. Patricia and Sheila take fantastic photos! I take mine off of pinterest. Hey, it works for me. 




I feel dog tired right now. I haven't been able to sleep lately but I believe tonight I will. 

Hopefully I will be bright eyed and bushy tail tomorrow. 

Well I reckon I really do need to go to bed. My eyes are on fire for being on the computer ALL day long, and I do mean all day. One would think after working all day on one I wouldn't want to be on one when I get home - actually I usually don't but I was feeling a little bit lonely without Jerry. I love my computer friends!!!  I am so thankful for each and everyone of them!
