I have a few minutes before I go outside and attempt to jog. It has been a very long time since I have done that. I am hoping with my other exercise I won't be too sore tomorrow. I bought some new shoes and they want to get out there - so they tell me.
I didn't succeed of giving up for sugar. In fact, I think I overdosed yesterday at work during food day. I am trying not to beat myself up - but it is not working. I keep thinking of those two small brownies in the kitchen...maybe, just maybe I will save them for Jerry. I seriously doubt it though. Sugar is in everything and I believe it is an addiction that only a chosen few can ever conquer.
So, with that above, I am just going with that ONE DAY AT A TIME ordeal - why not? Yeah why not, that is all we have. Planning and I just don't seem to get along anyway. Sure at times I actually get done what I need to get done or want, but never the way "I truly planned it". I will keep pretending to plan...
I am so thankful to have today off. I am still shocked to believe that Transamerica acknowledges Good Friday. So many companies do not.
Of course in between the cleaning of the house I am reminded with all the Face Book posts, emails and bloggers posts that Good Friday does touch us in many ways. I am also pleasantly surprised that some of my friends by acquaintances or ones that I didn't realize knew what Good Friday is all about - their posts have very good things involving why we celebrate Good Friday.
I don't know if we are even going to a Good Friday Service this year. If not, it will be the first time in MANY years that we have missed. I would like to go though, maybe I shall check into where we could go. Like everything else, things keep changing and what was last year sure is not this year.
Most of the days now, Jerry is busy with the farm and his job. Of course the "things" around the house that need to be done. I don't know where he gets his energy. I am busy with work and small things that seem to "suck my time up".
I was so blessed by last Sunday when Jerry and I went walking at the Nature Center - up in the "hill" as I call it above the meadow. We have shared many good times there - but like everything else - that kind of things have been put on the back burner.
Don't get me wrong, I am content with all the changes and discovering there are many other ways to spend time with Jerry (and Sam) even if it is just 20 min. or a couple of hours watching our "favorite" shows while at the same time catching up on some reading during the commercials.
Well, time to get my running shoes on and "attempt" that jog.
FRIDAY IS HERE AND SUNDAY IS COMING!!!
